New Additions to Our Program!

Over the past year, we have made it our goal to make our workshop programs more meaningful and valuable for both teachers and students. After reviewing our program and listening to the feedback from teachers, we decided to add two new elements to our program!

First, we have created climate change based activities for rainy days! Our workshops run rain or shine, however sometimes a short thunderstorm rolls in and we have to wait it out. During this time, we are now presenting an engaging Climate Change Presentation! Focus on Nature’s vision is, “We envision a world where our connections to nature create a healthy, flourishing planet. We see a critical role for the arts in fostering these connections.” This new presentation aligns with our vision by educating young students about climate change!

Second, we created an Extension Activity Resource for teachers. This resource provides curriculum-based activities that branch off of the learning that happens during our workshops. The intent is to provide cross-curricular activities related to the Elements of Design to deepen the learning for students. We appreciate the teachers we work with and see how much work they put into teaching their students every day! That is why we created the all inclusive extension activity resource for teachers to use the following weeks after our workshop. Teachers can use the activities outlined or become inspired by them with little prep needed!

We are very excited to be launching both of these new elements to our workshops! If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to contact us!
