Fall Photography

We are officially a few weeks into fall and the leaves are changing colours! Fall is the perfect season to get outside and capture the amazing colours of the leaves, berries, and pumpkins!

Fall workshops are engaging for students due to the endless nature offered for them to capture! During our workshops, we encourage students to get as close as they can to their subject. This is called SCUFI (shoot close up for impact)! The closer you physically place your camera to your subject, the more details you will see! These hidden details can improve your photos and provide your audience with a new perspective.

Next time you go outside to explore nature, think about using SCUFI to show off the details of nature that we don’t typically notice. Below are a few examples that Focus on Nature students have taken during Fall using SCUFI. Notice the lines, colours, and texture they have captured!
