March April Break Camp is going virtual!
Kids need quality time in nature, especially now during the Covid-19 lockdown. So we’ve revamped our March Break Camp program so your children can participate from home!
During the week of April 12 – 16, each day will start with an online photography lesson where campers will learn new techniques for both camera and cellphone photography. They will be exposed to macro photography, landscape photography, and more! Campers will then be given a photo challenge and encouraged to explore nature in their neighbourhood while putting their new skills into practice. In the afternoon we’ll gather again on Zoom to learn how to edit our photos and participate in some fun activities. Campers will connect with other passionate nature photographers throughout the week and share their photographs with each other!
Our camp councillors will conduct the camp through Zoom, so campers will need a computer or tablet with internet connection to participate. A meeting link will be emailed to participants on the Sunday before camp.
We are offering our virtual March Break Camp on a pay-what-you-can basis with a suggested price range of $25 to $75 per camper.
10 AM: Photography lesson and discussion on Zoom
11 AM to 1 PM: Campers are encouraged to explore the outdoors and test out their new photography knowledge and grab a bite to eat
1 PM: Afternoon editing Zoom session
2 PM: Afternoon Activity
All Campers should have access to Zoom, a camera or cellphone, and a computer or tablet.
This year we ask that you register through Eventbrite. Two week before camp we will follow up with an email requesting additional information about your camper(s).
