Covid Protocols for School Workshops

Focus on Nature is pleased to be returning to schools under the Ontario Government’s Step Three of the Roadmap to Reopen.

In order to ensure a safe workshop experience for all, we have implemented the following protocols:

  • All Focus on Nature staff and volunteers are fully vaccinated
  • All staff and volunteers will complete the school covid screening before coming to your school
  • Any staff or volunteers experiencing symptoms identified in the screening tool consistent with COVID-19 will not attend school
  • All staff and volunteers will wear masks indoors and also outdoors when working in close contact with students
  • Social distancing between individuals will be encouraged as much as possible
  • All staff and volunteers will follow appropriate hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette
  • Eye protection (face shield or safety glasses) will be wore by staff working in close contact with students who are not wearing masks both indoors and outdoors
  • All equipment such as cameras and laptops will be sanitized before being brought into school
  • Cameras will not be shared between students.
  • Laptops will be sanitized between each student rotation
  • All other rules implemented by the class, school or board will be followed

Note: After running 12 camp weeks this summer without incident, we look forward to a safe and rewarding experience for all students in the 2021-2022 school year!
