Focus on Nature Summer Camps in Waterloo

This camp is provided through the City of Waterloo.
Registration is now open!

Hello!

This year Focus on Nature will conduct four weeks of Summer Camps at the Albert McCormick Community Centre in partnership with the City of Waterloo. This particular location has multiple walking trails to keep the campers engaged outdoors and finding new and exciting photos to capture. Registration is not open yet and must be done through the City of Waterloo’s ACTIVE website. Search “Focus on Nature” to find all our Waterloo camp weeks.

Focus on Nature Camp weeks will be::

July 2 - 5 (this will be a short week)
July 8 - 12
July 15 - 19
July 22 - 26 (Full Waitlist Only)

Our camps are a wonderful opportunity for budding photographers to develop their skills while exploring all the natural beauty the Albert McCormick Community Centre has to offer!

Campers will spend time outdoors each day on guided photo walks, playing outdoor games, and other nature activities. Campers will also learn how to edit their images, create a slideshow and take it all home when camp is over.

Each camper will be provided with their own camera and a laptop for photo editing. They may bring their own camera if they are familiar with its use. They should also bring a cleared USB memory stick to save and take home their best photos.

For health and safety, all equipment will be sanitized before use. Our camp staff have completed a Police Records Check for Vulnerable Sector.

We look forward to helping your child find new connections to nature through photography!

Thank you,
The Focus on Nature Team

PS: Please let others, who might enjoy our camp, know about this opportunity.
